About the WARN Database

The WARN Database standardizes layoff notices shared by state governments under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act into searchable, downloadable datasets. Across all years, data exists for 49 states and territories, representing 81,000+ layoff notices impacting 8.7 million+ workers.

Data is collected regularly through the month and comprehensively at the conclusion of each month.
